Frequently Asked Questions

  • Services are provided in an office at the Hope House located at 191 Church Rd. in Bridgewater, NJ.

  • Provided that the schedule allows and the center gives permission for services to be rendered there, I would go to the daycare. There is an additional fee for services provided outside of the main office.

  • I am very flexible. If you think your child will perform better with you in the room, you can absolutely stay in; however, over time, most parents feel comfortable in the waiting room once their child is acclimated to the therapy setting.

  • The evaluation needs to be provided for me to review and must be less than one year old. Additionally, some insurances mandate that the evaluation be completed by the treating facility. You will need to ask your carrier if that is a requirement if you are going to submit for reimbursement.

  • A formal evaluation needs to be completed in order for codes to be provided. Please note that if you provide an evaluation completed by another facility for review, you must have the codes the evaluating therapist used in order for me to document them.

  • Cash and check.

  • Sessions can be scheduled for 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

  • The center is an “out of network” provider and a fee for service agency. Payment is expected when services are rendered. An invoice will be provided that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement at your out-of-network benefit. Please refer to #5 for the use of diagnostic and procedural codes on invoices.

Insurance Questions

What do I ask my insurance company?

1- Call your medical insurance company and inquire what your benefits for speech therapy are.

2- Check on both in-network and out-of-network benefits.

3- Ask if preauthorization is needed.

4- Also make sure that the coverage is not restorative only, meaning that the service is a covered entity only if it is for an illness or injury where prior function was lost.

5- The Bayles Family Speech Center is an out-of-network provider and a fee for service agency applies. Therefore, payment is expected when services are rendered. You will be given a receipt with all required information. Submitting invoices and claim forms, as per your insurance company’s requirement for reimbursement is done by you, at your discretion. The Bayles Family Speech Center does not submit to insurance directly.
